Famous Muslim Astronomer Biruni submitted his best studies on astronomy to the ruler of his time, Sultan Mas’ud, the son of Mahmud of Ghazni.
Amazed by the wonderful scientific study, Sultan Mas’ud sent him many gifts of an elephant load.
However, Biruni said, “These gifts may corrupt me and draw my attention away from the science and knowledge if I take them” and he declined the gifts.
