The dinner table of Abdurrahman b. Avf (ra), who was one of those ten companions who were heralded with the Paradise, was adorned with several kinds of foods to break his fast. He felt sorry for this and said the following: “Mus’ab b. Umair became martyr in the battle of Uhud. He was virtuous than me, however he had nothing except for a cardigan as a cerement. And when we covered his head with this cardigan his feet were left naked. Now, everything was granted us for world life. Indeed, I fear that we are taking the rewards of our good deeds in the world!” After these words Abdurrahman b. Avf (ra) left the table.
