A Bedouin travelling with his camel comes across a man hardly able to walk and almost dying of thirst. The man wants some water from the Bedouin, so he dismounts from the camel and gives some water to the man. All of a sudden the man, having drunk the water, pushes Bedouin out of the way, mounts the camel and starts to ride away.
The Bedouin shouts after him,
“OK! Take the camel, but do not tell anyone what happened here.”
Hearing this strange wish, the thief slows down and asks the reason. The Bedouin answers,
“If you tell everyone about this, and it spreads everywhere, people will no longer help the needy when they see them in the desert.”
