ISLAMABAD – Khubaib Foundation, the local philanthropic organization and Pakistan based country partner of the Turkish Insani Haq-o-Hurriyat (IHH) on Tuesday arranged for Quran recitation and congregational prayers in its head office and educational institutions for the salvation of the scores of people who died in recent the Turkey earthquake.
According to press release, Khubaib Foundation staff besides students of Khubaib Madrassa Tehfez-ul-Quran recited passages from the Holy Quran and prayed for the bereaved families and those who died in the 7.2 magnitude earthquake. The quake hit the southern Turkish province of Van and toppled 1,000 buildings which include homes, residential apartments and offices. A majority of adobe houses were reduced to rubble. The head of Khubaib Foundation, Nadeem Ahmed Khan called for Fatiha khawani and joint prayers at Khubaib’s educational projects for orphan students in Skardu, Rara (AJ&K), Haripur and a girl’s exclusive orphanage MSAL in Rawalpindi. Nadeem Ahmed on behalf of the Pakistani nation phoned president of IHH and offered him moral, material and volunteer support for the Turkish brethren in this hour of need.
The IHH of Turkey, an international philanthropic organization has worked in collaboration with Khubaib Foundation of Pakistan for the relief and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and victims of natural disasters.
