The person who has lived the Qur’an in his life the most

0 0

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

The Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) – the entire words, actions and approval attributed to him – is the most important source after the Qur’an.

By following the Sunnah we implement the Qur’an into daily life. The life of our Prophet is entirely Qur’an centred. He based his every behaviour, word and deed on the Qur’an. He acted according to the rulings of the Qur’an.

We learn how our Creator, Allah Most High, will be pleased with us from our Prophet – even in the courtesies relating to eating, drinking and sleeping.

When we think of following our Prophet in our ordinary actions, we picture in the mind that it is a spiritual courtesy of the Sacred Law the founder of which is him (pbuh). And then we begin to orient our heart towards Allah, the True Lawgiver (swt).

The lofty sunnah and even its simple spiritual courtesies are like a compass clarifying the direction of a ship and like a light switch in limitless dangerous and dark paths.

Our Lord, Allah (swt), Beautiful Possessor of Perfection, has made this universe the locus of the limitless manifestations of His beauty and perfection. He has self-evidently bestowed the greatest station of servanthood on a person (i.e. the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) who is the most all-embracing, the most perfect, unique criterion and pivot of all of the beauty, perfection, Divine Names and art that He wishes to make manifest. And Allah has made our Prophet’s good character a model for all people and urged all to follow him, so that his beautiful state also becomes reflected in all people.

The following verse expresses this truth:

“There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.” (The Qur’an, Ahzab, 33:21)

And let’s not forget the verse below:

“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you.”” (The Qur’an, Al Imran, 3:31)

Love of Allah entails following of the Sunnah. Happy is he who has a large share in following the lofty sunnah of our beloved Prophet (pbuh).
